Today's Goal (Estimated Time 30-35min):
You're doing introductions. Let's say it's the first day of class and you want to get to know your classmates.

Skills:
Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking, Comprehension

Listening:
Listen to the mp3s and see if you can understand what they're saying. (You could have the students write these dialogues out for comprehension.)

Reading:
Lea el siguiente párrafo y responda a las preguntas que siguen.

Hola, yo soy Martín. Yo estudio en la Universidad de Pennsylvania. Es mi segundo año en la universidad. Estudio economía. Soy casado, pero nosotros todavía no tenemos niños. Queremos tener un hijo en septiembre.

Writing and Speaking:
Here is a dialogue between students. You can have the students write their answers to parts A and B, then ask these questions in Spanish to their classmates.

Translate the following:

A: Hi, I'm Aaron
B: Hi, I'm Martín
A: Where are you from?
B: Seattle, Washington

Supplemental Exercises:
The verb "ser" is to both tell who you are and where you're from. The verb "llamarse" is only to tell somebody what your name is. Match each person with the correct form of the verb.
